Li Bai (唐)李白
Li Bai, 701 - 762, of Tang Dynasty(618-907), one of the greatest poets in Chinese history.
Thoughts In The Night
The bright moonlight in front of my bed
Nearly taken as frost on the ground.
Eyes up looking at the shining moon,
Then head down in thought of my hometown.
Translated by Laoha (X. M. Li) on 4/13/2005
《夜思》
床前明月光,
疑是地上霜。
举头望明月,
低头思故乡。

Every time I read these lines, they get bigger.
Now, I'm thinking of that hometown, and can see all the familiar streets and faces and the smell of onions frying in the widow's house... [poet's set one another's imaginations blooming].
Thanks.
