When will there be an end
to spring flowers and autumn moon,
how many things there were
are known?

Again by the small attic
there were easterly last night,
impossible to look back
the old country in the moonlight.

Still there should be the buildings
of carved stones and jade,
the only thing has ever changed
is the emperor's face.

If ever asked how much
one could have sorrow,
just look at the waters of the river
in continuous flow.
